Board of Directors

Jeffery Yabuki serves as the Chairman of Sportradar since joining the board in 2021. Yabuki most recently served as the Executive Chairman of Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), a global leader in financial services and payments technology. Prior to serving as Executive Chairman, Yabuki was the CEO from 2005 through July 2020. During his tenure, Yabuki led the company through a significant transformation, nearly tripled its revenue and delivered a 969% total shareholder return. Before joining Fiserv, Yabuki spent six years at H&R Block where he was the Chief Operating Officer and previously held various leadership roles at American Express for more than 10 years. Yabuki also serves on the Board of Directors of Royal Bank of Canada (NYSE: RY) and SentinelOne (NASDAQ: S).

Deirdre Bigley has been a member of the Global Board of Directors for Sportradar since April 2021. Bigley was with Bloomberg since 2009 and Chief Marketing officer since 2014. She was responsible for designing and launching the first global marketing department at Bloomberg and building marketing strategies for all business units across the company, including the core data and software product, a television network and multiple magazines. Prior to her career at Bloomberg, Bigley held numerous leadership positions at IBM, including Vice President of IBM Brand and Vice President of Worldwide Advertising and Interactive. Bigley currently serves on the Board of Directors of Shutterstock, Wix and Taboola.

John A. Doran

John Doran has been a member of the Global Board of Directors for Sportradar since October 2018. Doran is a General Partner in London and a founding member of TCV’s European investment efforts. TCV is one of the largest growth equity firms and has invested over $15B in public and private technology companies since inception in 1995. Doran focuses on investments in software, internet, and FinTech companies. His current investments include Believe, Brex, Dream Sports, FlixMobility, Klarna, Mambu, Mollie, Redis, RELEX Solutions, Revolut, Sportradar, SuperVista AG, TourRadar, The Pracuj Group, Trade Republic, and WorldRemit/Zepz. Doran was previously an investor at Summit Partners, a private equity investment company, where he focused on investments across software, internet, and financial technology.

George Fleet has been a member of the Global Board of Directors for Sportradar since December 2018. He is the Head of Advisory at Canaccord Genuity Limited and leads the firm's coverage of the Gaming, Leisure and Consumer sector. Prior to Canaccord, Fleet was a Managing Director at Houlihan Lokey and Managing Director at McQueen. He began his investment banking career at Robert Fleming and has since held a variety of senior roles including Head of European Technology at Wasserstein Perella and Co-head of European Technology at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. Fleet is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales having qualified at Price Waterhouse.

Chief Executive Officer and Director

Carsten Koerl has served as our Founder and Chief Executive Officer since our founding in 2001. Koerl also serves as Group Chief Executive Officer of Sports Statistics and Information Systems Ltd, a subsidiary of Sportradar. Prior to founding Sportradar, Koerl held a number of management positions within the software development and gaming industry, including betandwin Interactive Entertainment AG, an online betting company, which he founded in 1997. He holds a Master of Electronic and Microprocessor Engineering degree from the University for Applied Sciences in Konstanz.

Hafiz Lalani has been a member of the Global Board of Directors for Sportradar since October 2018. Lalani is a Managing Director at CPP Investments, a global investment management organization that invests the assets of the Canada Pension Plan, leading the European Direct Private Equity group for the firm. During his time at CPP Investments, Lalani has been involved in multiple private investments including AgCoA, Asurion, AWAS, Dorna, GlobalLogic, Hotelbeds, ista and Visma. Hafiz has previously sat on the Boards of AWAS, GlobalLogic, Hotelbeds, and Livingston and in addition to Sportradar, currently sits on the board of Visma. Prior to joining CPP Investments in 2006, Lalani worked in the Technology, Media & Telecom investment banking group at CIBC World Markets.

Charles (“Chuck”) Robel serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee for the Sportradar Global Board of Directors. In his role, Robel is responsible for the oversight of the company’s financial reporting and related internal controls, risk, and ethics and compliance, in addition to providing leadership to the Board of Directors for all aspects of the Committee’s work. Robel is currently Chairman of the Board for GoDaddy, the world’s largest domain name registrar and one of the world’s largest web hosting providers for consumers and small businesses. Previously he was the Chairman of the Board of McAfee Inc. prior to its approximately $8 billion acquisition by Intel (NASDAQ: INTC). In addition, he was the Lead Director of Informatica, Inc., the largest independent data integration company, prior to its acquisition by the Permira private equity group for $5.3 billion in 2015. Until early 2017 he was the Lead Director for AppDynamics during both its IPO listing process and subsequent $3.7 billion sale to Cisco. Previously he served as a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee at Blue Coat, Palo Alto Networks, Borland, Adaptec, Jive Software, Model N and DemandTec.

Marc Walder has been a member of the Board of Directors for Sportradar since May 2015. He is CEO and Managing Partner of Ringier AG, an innovative, digitized and diversified Swiss media company active in Europe, Africa and Asia. Its portfolio includes around 125 subsidiaries in print, digital media, radio, ticketing, entertainment and e-commerce, as well as leading digital marketplaces in cars, real estate and jobs. Founded in 1833 as a publishing house and printing company, the family-owned Ringier has consistently invested in the digitization and global expansion of the Group in recent years. Walder is a member of the Advisory Council Digital Transformation of the Swiss Federal Council as well as founder of the initiative digitalswitzerland, to which more than 225 of the most renowned Swiss companies and organizations belong.
